THE RAC RALLY NOVEMBER 2007

To uplift profile and gain publicity the YIGA committee took a decision to sponsor a section of the RAC rally which took place in Yorkshire late last November.
The photo below shows your Chairman Mr Andrew Wilby together with the drivers of two of the cars. The other photograph shows a car negotiating a tight right angle bend at speed on a special stage in the Dalby Forest at Pickering in North Yorkshire. It is a bend which many drivers found difficult, had lost control of their vehicles and finished up against the banking.
The YIGA signs are shown in abundance and are prominent on the RAC website where they have apparently caused a lot of questions to be asked. 
With the sponsorship a link from their website to ours was established.
From this link we have had many extra hits and a couple of service suppliers have made contact who are to be investigated on our members behalf.
